Application Questions

Application Questions are non-mandatory custom questions that you may want to ask in service of your Program. Sometimes learning extra info about your Recipients is a good thing.

Code of Conduct: Reciprocity prioritizes trust, safety & a high standard of excellence to ensure that the communities we serve are taken care of. Please make sure that your custom questions conform to our standards & Terms of Service before asking them.

From this screen you can Add or Edit questions. Once done hit 'Save Changes' to update your Application Questions.

The 'Required Attribute' checkbox means that a Recipient *must* fill out a question to Apply for a Program. You may choose not to make intake questions a requirement.

Requiring a question makes it so that you can collect higher fidelity data on your Recipient while making them complete another step.

We suggest that Program Administrators be deliberate about making additional Application Questions, since gathering data on a Person only makes sense in the context of a Program.

Types of Questions in Advocate Custom Application Questions:

1. Short Answer (free text)

2. Dropdown (Recipient can check boxes and select any or all that apply)

If you want to standardize your data model, Dropdown is the best. If, instead you want to learn more about a person in a free format, Short Answer is best.
